These are the best rear rests you can use. There is no other rod rest on the market that can absorb as much force (without a rod lock) during a bite as this one. Almost all rod thicknesses (15 to 20mm) are perfectly clamped by the spring system. I have been using these for over 10 years and I don't want any others.
