50m per spool.
When fishing with braided main line, I strongly recommend using a fluorocarbon leader. People often fish with nylon/mono leaders because they are cheaper, but these tend to kink easily and lose strength quickly. Our 100% fluorocarbon leader stays nice and straight (after stretching) and is of the highest quality. Fluorocarbon is invisible and much heavier than mono, ensuring the last few meters lie perfectly flat against the bottom. Fluorocarbon is much nicer to fish with and lasts much longer. Be critical about your last few meters and do not make compromises. There is nothing more annoying than a line break during a fight!
Fluorocarbon is somewhat stiffer and therefore does not cast as smoothly as a nylon leader. If you want to cast long distances, I recommend a mono leader, preferably a tapered leader.
Our advice:
Subtle conditions: 0.45mm
Normal/Sturdier conditions: 0.50mm
Extreme conditions: 0.60mm
I use an 8-meter leader and often trim the last 50cm after a session or if it gets damaged. If it gets shorter than 5 meters, I replace the leader.
