TEMPORARY: Free worm scissors with every 2kg of worms. Perhaps the best carp bait there is: chopped worms!
Pieces of worm release a lot of attraction and carp naturally can't resist them. This is very effective all year round, but all fish species like worms. Because whitefish are less active in cold water, you can perfectly feed and fish with chopped worms, especially in winter and spring.
I recommend cutting the worms with worm scissors. Try to cut each worm once with the worm scissors to get nice pieces. If you cut them too finely, you will have more trouble with whitefish. You can mix different types of feed with the chopped worms, such as crushed boilies, canned corn, hemp, and maggots. Only cut as many worms as you are going to use immediately for feeding. The fresher you cut them, the better.
It's best to keep worms in the breathable bag they are delivered in. Make sure the worms don't freeze; then you can easily keep them good for a few weeks at cool temperatures. The worms are in organic material (mainly peat) and not sand, which means your scissors will not dull as quickly.
